Samsung S8 beats iPhone X says Consumer Reports

Who’s the best? The debate between Apple and Samsung has stormed for close to years and will continue to flash heated opinions among friends, families, and colleagues for years to come.

Since the launching of iPhone X, it is winning the news with its most innovative features by Apple until now and is also said as one of the best devices of 2017. But, according to the results from Consumer Reports, Apple’s notch-sporting Animoji machine is a poorer choice for buyers than Samsung’s elite trio of S8, S8 Plus and Note 8. So, Samsung has once again beaten the iPhone X.

Consumers Report published its full test results for iPhone X, clarifying the details that why it thinks the iPhone 8 phones and Samsung’s best 2017 phones are better placed in its smartphone standings. Moreover, the magazine also reviewed iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus a couple of months ago and decided that last year’s Samsung Galaxy S7 is still better than iPhone 8.

As for now, the rankings give first three spots to Samsung phones, with the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, and S7, but, the Galaxy Note 8 grasps the sixth position. For the time being, iPhone X can’t even beat its mates iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. The poor battery life and easily broken set are the reasons iPhone X are ranked low.

The reviewer, in the very beginning, also admired some features of iPhone X, like its attractive display, Face ID, and exceptional cameras. Though, still, these features can’t have Samsung Galaxy S8’s OLED display and Iris scanner.

iPhone X sadly failed the drop tests, and stability is obviously a big deal for a phone that’s very costly for restoration. Furthermore, in the battery drain test, the iPhone X lasted for 19 hours and 30 minutes while the iPhone 8 Plus scored 21 hours in the same tests. Consumer Reports claims that the iPhone X’s battery is relatively shorter than all the 38 smartphones it endorses. It's battery life that hurt the iPhone X’s complete scores the most.

The top seven spots of Consumers Report’s ranking are employed by the flagships of Samsung and Apple. iPhone X is ranked as number 9, way after the Galaxy Note 8, which is at sixth. Prices are the highly discussed in the reports which are very high.
