Yakeen Ka Safar – A beautiful Journey

Goodbyes are painful but here we are bidding a sweet goodbye to our very own Yaqeen Ka Safar with a new hope and faith that no matter how many times we fall and stray, there’s always a higher and brighter place waiting for us to live again.

Adorably carved by Farhat Ishtiaq and perfectly directed by Shahzad Kashmiri, YKS, is absolutely one of the classic Urdu dramas that will remain in our memories for so many life lessons. From “Wo Yaqeen Ka Ek Naya Safar” to “Yaqeen Ka Safar”, Momina Duraid productions revived the traditions of their mastery.

But what makes any serial a great one is the cast performance. Each and every actor's acting was worth watching. Sajal Ali, Ahad Raza Mir, Shazli Hafeez Khan, Hira Salman, Ehteshamuddin, Suhaee Abro, all ensemble cast did justice with their roles. It was fascinating to watch how accurately the team YKS managed to portray the harsh realities in such a brilliant manner.

Sajal Ali has always something blasting for her viewers. She has definitely blown us away with the magical performance of Zubiya Khalil, an innocent young girl’s character who went through so many stages such as domestic family violence, mother’s death,  trusting someone from depth of her heart but being deceived, facing a tragic downfall that left deep cuts in her soul, confronting a society (that believes no one has the right to live a happy life after a slip or sin because there is no point to forgive and forget), struggling to collect her pieces and rise again, making a new start but with shocks of her past. Finally, her life took a positive turn after major twists that defined her journey of faith. Ahad Raza Mir was too charismatic with his protagonist role. Both the lead actors differently go through tough phases of life and in the end met by fate.

Barrister Daniyal Ali Khan (Shaz Khan) delivered such a powerful message of bravery and courage. He taught us to stay positive and brave no matter how difficult it is to handle.

Title Yaqeen Ka Safar did total justice with the theme. ‘Inna mal Usri Yusra’ is definitely the theme of this 29-weeks performance. It says never ever lose hope. Always believe in Allah S.W.T. There's always something better for you in this world. Just be patient and wait for the right time. It would better if they had remained away from the suicide angle. But, the fact is YKS’s admiration gives such a strong message to drama makers that they need not have immoral plot twists in their stories to get ratings.

There’s exceptionality in Pakistani dramas that make them unique is the real-time location shooting. You must have stunned by the beautiful scenes of Neelam Valley throughout the drama. Also, the drama was relatable for the medical professionals. The way they discussed and delivered medical information was impressive.

Dramas like Yaqeen Ka Safar are the essence of Pakistani drama industry. Hope they keep making such beautiful and thought-provoking serials.
