Pakistan-7th Country for Cervical Cancer Death

Pakistan is ranked on the 7th number in the list of top 50 countries with most cervical cancer deaths in the world. This is very unfortunate for a country like Pakistan, where there is already a question on health and care services provided by heath care institutions.

Global Crisis Card (CCGCC) has ranked Pakistan on the 7th number in the light of their research statistics. This fact was revealed during the press briefing that was arranged by the United Against Cervical Cancer (UACC) in the backdrop of world cancer awareness campaign. This event highlighted that cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women worldwide and the third leading cause of cancer deaths in women. According to estimation, it kills around 275,000 women every year and 500,000 new cases are reported across the world.

Unfortunately, a lot of people do not even know that cervical cancer is the only cancer, which is almost entirely preventable. Every woman in Pakistan is at the risk of cervical cancer because there is lack of awareness on a general basis. It is most desirable for Pakistani women to get vaccination before marriage so that the disease does not become fatal for their lives onwards.

Early vaccination for this disease is the best preventive measure for it so far. One of the leading causes that make women in Pakistan die due to cervical cancer is its diagnosis at an advanced level. Moreover, technology should assist people in making them safe from cervical cancer.
