Foods you should avoid heating again

Having hunger pangs during an odd hour of the day? It’s so simple just go for your last leftover food in the fridge, heat it up and enjoy. BUT WAIT! Does it as simple as it sounds? Absolutely, No. Because reheating some high protein food twice may prove to be harmful to your body and digestive system.

In this era of Microwave Ovens, it’s so feasible for everyone to heat up the food again. You just put your plastic container in the oven and heat it up. But according to nutritionists, rewarming food over and over again may destroy all the nutrients in it.

While it’s almost difficult to stop reheating food you eat every day, here are some foods you must try to stop reheating as it may get dangerous.  Reheating the same food over and over again might just abolish all its nutrients and might not be such a healthy choice. So eat them cold as they are, they taste great cold. Like,

Eggs

Boiled or fried eggs should usually be taken fresh. Once the eggs are boiled or cooked, eat them straight away but if you have to eat it after a while, and then do not reheat.

Reheating eggs over and over might destroy the proteins present, and give you a troubled stomach while at it.

Mushrooms

Mushrooms should preferably be consumed right away when they are cooked as they are a rich source of proteins & minerals. Not only that but cooking the mushrooms to high temperatures, again and again, might produce toxins which might damage your digestive system.

Celery

Celery is one of the foods that contain a high concentration of nitrates. Reheating the celery increase the risk of methemoglobinemia, which is a state where cells become powerless of transporting oxygen.

Spinach

Like celery, the nitrates which give it some heavens don't like being rewarmed and can have cancer-causing possessions. If you've any leftover spinach, just ditch it.

At times, it seems necessary to reheat the food you’re eating. At such times, you can at least make sure that these foods are taken out of whatever dish you’re reheating. Or the best thing just has it cold!
