Love Story of 77th Pakistan Day and Burj Khalifa

There is no better feeling than watching Pakistan’s Day celebration on another soil as Dubai went a step ahead and paid special tribute to all the Pakistanis by draping up the iconic Burj Khalifa with green and white colors to mark Pakistan Day at UAE. On the 77th Pakistan Resolution Day, when every Pakistani was in deep adoration, commemorating the greatest effort done in the foundation of their beloved Pakistan, mesmerizing celebration was seen to mark this day and in the end, the tallest skyscraper stole the show, displaying Pakistan’s flag on the monumental Burj Khalifa.

The morning started with fighter jets zooming across the sky, incredible march-past spewing streams of color, mesmerizing aerobatic maneuvers of Sherdils, weapons display, cultural representation and airborne shows. The thing, special this year was the participation of troops in the parade of friendly countries of China and Saudi Arabia. Turkish Janissary Military Band (Mehteran) showed deepening of ties between Pakistan and the “brotherly” countries by playing “Jeevay Jeevay Pakistan”.

In Pakistan Day parade, Pakistan Armed Forces showed their ultimate valor and sent a strong message to the enemies. Troops from soldiers, Special Services Group (SSG), and Female soldiers of Army, Navy and Air Force marched in the Parade Ground was in great formation.

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Jawed Bajwa was standing there along with Prime Minister Nawaz Shareef and President Mamnoon Hussain. Besides this, federal cabinet ministers, parliamentarians, foreign dignitaries, diplomats, chairman joint chiefs of staff committee and services chiefs, Chief of the National Defence Forces of South Africa General Solly Zacharia Shoke also witnessed the joint military parade from Shakarparian Ground. Following the parade, enthralling flag-lowering ceremonies at Wagah and Hussainiwala borders pull crowds.

This day gives Goosebumps and really brings out the patriotism as we used to celebrate this day in the childhood. And it's all started with a day, by whom we are celebrating it here, walking freely in this homeland, 23rd March 1940, when A.K. Fazal Ul Haq presented the Lahore Resolution which resultantly gifted us this blessed land. Now, after 77 years, this nation has no less spirit than the people back in the early days.
