Mobilink-Expanding Business

According to the recent news, it is being reported that Mobilink is at the end of their business intervention that is based on the expansion of operations in Pakistan. Recently, Mobilink’s owner and Global CEO of Vimplecom Ltd met Pakistan’s Minister of IT and Telecom to discuss the agenda of expanding businesses in Pakistan.

The expansion of Mobilink is not just based on its connectivity but the company owners have decided to enhance the business beyond general connectivity criteria. Beyond connectivity, Mobilink can participate more meaningfully in the sectoral development. Mobilink is planning to make investments in infrastructure, which are focused on the big cities of Pakistan. They also plan to make investments in other areas.

Recently, a delegation based on the marketing initiatives of Mobilink also visited Pakistan with very high hopes for the developmental work in the country. People of Pakistan came across the news of Mobilink-Warid merger in November, 2015. After the merger, the collective Mobilink entity took the responsibility of serving 45 million mobile customers. After this merger, Mobilink also became the leading high-speed mobile network in Pakistan.

Mobilink is still in the process of taking 100% of Warid’s share from the Dhabi Group, which is Warid’s parent company. Mobilink believes in the idea of “Digital Pakistan”. This idea can only be made a reality when the un-served or under-served areas of Pakistan are catered by the Mobilink service providers. This will provide broadband and rural telephony services to remotest and far-flung areas of the country.
