Pakistan wins at PSL final

So against all odds and fears, cornered tigers played a brilliant shot over the long-on and gave a message to the world that this nation has nothing to do with terrorism. From now, Terrorism stands at 0 \while Pakistan have already scored a plus point.

Lahore roared, peace struck and Pakistan won. A day came to us that had to wait us long years to arrive. Cricket came home and it came with the full bang. Pakistan has beat terrorism in an unending fight and hoisted the flag of peace in the grounds of cricket. Pakistan Super League has done it, what was unbelievable and unexpected but it fought back and played like a tiger.

Peshawar Zalmi, after falling in the first playoff, finally stood yesterday and smashed the whole batting line-up of the best side of the PSL, Quetta Gladiators. Quetta, the second-time consistently unlucky team to lose the final, despite winning the toss, made some serious blunders that gradually slipped the entire match from the skipper.

Though, Gladiators were pretty impressive in collapsing the Peshawar batting first. They restricted the Zalmis on 148-6 even when Kamran Akmal and David Malan led the innings with the freestyle boundary hitting. Ryad Emrit – a West Indian bowler that played for Quetta – provided the major breakthrough and bowled Malan on 17. The match was started turning around when Hassaan got Kamran Akmal, the incredibly dangerous product of PSL 2, on 40 off 31. The score was 82 in almost 10 overs and Peshawar had lost 6 of its batsmen at 115 hurriedly till 18 overs when Captain Darren Sammy came to bat and built up the score by smashing 28 off 11 deliveries. Sammy’s late fireworks and thirsty boundaries helped Zalmis to make a decent total of 148 that was quite attainable.

But, bad luck strikes back and Quetta seemed too shattered in the beginning. A direct hit in second over, took Morne run out and Ameen uh Haque was caught at the boundary when the score was just in 3rd over. Skipper Sarfraz was stumped by Kamran Akmal and batsmen then started walking into pavilion by playing extravagant shots. At the score of 90, Hasan Ali bowled Zulfiqar Babar and stole the show by winning Pakistan Super League season 2 title.

The scenes were amazing. The celebrations were incredible. All the players of Peshawar Zalmi made around and danced like champions. To paying tribute their injured Lala, all winners made star-man pose to dedicate the win to Shahid Afridi.

Lahore was glittering to host the PSL final and was cheering with charm when Darren Sammy said “To me, it’s just more than a game”, to the crowd and the people in the ceremony. Sammy said All four foreign players of Peshawar Zalmi Sammy, Malan, Samuels, and Jordan were ready to play in Lahore even before finalists were decided. Their efforts were full of spirit and loveable.
