Kaabil going high in Pakistan's cinemas

“Kaabil just released in Karachi tonight. India gave it so much love. Hope it gets the same love from Pakistan as well,” tweeted Kaabil starred Hrithik Roshan on Wednesday.

With the release of Kaabil in Pakistan’s Multiplexes, a ban on Indian movies has been lifted by the Pakistani authorities as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif permit to screen Bollywood movies in Pakistani theaters and Kaabil was the first big hit screened in cinemas with the expect of Raees and Jolly LLB 2 in coming days.

The maker of Kaabil, Rakesh Roshan, appreciated the positive step taken from Pakistan in bridging the gap between both nations and expressed that since Pakistan has opened its arms to welcome Indian content, Indians also must relax its stance. He said yesterday that,

All I want to say is that if Pakistan has opened their arms, we should also move forward. The film has been released in Karachi, Pakistan, last night with an 11 p.m. show and it was houseful. Today, the film is releasing all over Karachi, Rawalpindi and Hyderabad (Sindh) with 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. shows. However, the rest of Pakistan will open the show for the movie on Friday (today).

India and Pakistan, both are going through abnormal incidents after the Uri attack in Kashmir that had tarnished the bilateral relationships. The politically heated discussions between the countries also left the entertainment industry strained as India banned Pakistani artists working in India and Pakistani media owners stopped screening Indian content.

Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil and SRK’s Raees should and most likely will be an enormous success in Pakistan; as they should be. Indian politicians belonged to Hindu extremists group also wrongly interpreted the Hrithik’s tweet. The lack of a political mudslinging on Hrithik Roshan is inspiring. But perhaps what the best thing would be is that these politicians stay out of the lives of artiste.
