Google stands with immigrants after Trump’s immigration ban

Google, being the top in search engines, now took a top decision to support humanity.  Joining the hands with other tech companies, Google put up a huge fund worth $4 million in support to the immigrants against the Donald Trump’s administration move to ban the immigrants and refugees in the United States of America.

Setting the largest humanitarian fund in the company’s history, Google came up in response to the Trump’s agreement over executive orders of restricting immigrants of 7 Muslim-majority countries. Crisis fund, which is the leading humanitarian fund ever put up by the tech giant, Google, will be aiming to sum the massive money up in support of the groups that support immigration to the US.The crisis fund has half of the fund worth $2 million would come directly from the company itself whereas the other half would be pitched in by employees’ donation of $2 million.

The campaign was revealed by Google CEO Sundar Pichai himself, who strongly objected the Trump’s immigration ban. He said,

“For generations, this country has been home to immigrants like Sanaz. Her story is playing out all over the country. Google is with you.”

“We’re concerned about the impact of this order and any proposals that could impose restrictions on Googlers and their families, or that could create barriers to bringing great talent to the US,” confirmed Google in a declaration. “We’ll continue to make our views on these issues known to leaders in Washington and elsewhere." The statement added while further reaffirming its stance in support to the immigrants.

The gathered donations will be donated to four organizations that include the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC), the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The recently sworn President of United States Trump signed an executive order (EO) this Friday, suspending the entrance of all refugees to the U.S. for three months. The EO stalled the admission of refugees to the US from Syria until further notice along with the denying entry to residents from the Muslim countries of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Yemen, Sudan, Libya, and Somalia, for three months. The majority of the technological corporate strongly rejected the Trump’s move.
