Pak-Portugal Bilateral Trade

An open trade has been assured with Portugal by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI). Authorities have assured that bilateral trade between both the countries shall be enhanced to all the possible means.

After the successful visit to Portugal, leading businessmen and their community is delighted with the friendly relations of the both the countries with each other. Pakistan also has this wish to collaborate with Southern Europe in trade and economic affairs and so Portugal is a gateway to broaden cooperation and exchange of expertise in the field of business, science and information technology.

FPCCI has requested the Portuguese expertise for the generation of energy with the help of renewable resources. This shall help Pakistan fight its energy crisis. In addition, it would also help in the promotion of tourism for both the countries. Portugal and Pakistan will also expect cooperation in sectors like textile, energy, marble, chemical, electronics, dairy farming and education. Moreover, FPCCI has also requested the government to ease the restrictions of visa so that more trade and understanding can occur between both the countries.

Portugal’s international soccer team has recently won the Euro Cup 2016, which has made Portugal an extremely important and profitable nation in Europe. Winning an international tournament like Euro Cup opens the gates of too many opportunities in any country. Pakistan can readily take advantage of all these profitable opportunities if it shall boost the ties with Portugal and maintain healthy profitable business relations.
