Health Tips for Ramzan 2016

The Holy month of Ramzan is full of blessings, food and spirituality. Although this month is meant for profound worships by Muslims, there is no doubt that Pakistanis take special privilege is making all the preparations for food to be consumed during Ramzan. With changes in routines, sleeping times and eating habits, human body undergoes many changes during this holy month. In order to be sure that your body is able to cope up with these changes without any serious health problems, you need to take care of your body through the following Ramzan tips:

  • Increase your water intake to five times in order to tolerate staying without water for 15 hours during summers.
  • Keep your body cool by regular showers.
  • Count and drink 8-10 glasses of water or other forms of liquids in Sehri and after Iftar.
  • Make sure you consume water and beverages after you have consumed proper food.
  • Lemonade is the best Ramzan drink for everyone in summers.
  • In order to make sure that you do not develop serious digestive and gastric problems, do not overeat during Sehri and Iftar time.
  • Make sure that your meal for both Sehri and Iftar has a balanced amount of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and sugar.
  • Select a suitable time for exercising because exercising too heavy during the fast may make your body become dehydrated.
  • Instead of oily food, go for more fruits and salads, plus instead of fizzy drinks, go for essential juices and healthy drinks, such as, lassi.
