Pakistan & Turkey-Bilateral Cooperation

Recently, President of Pakistan and Turkish Prime Minister met and agreed to broaden cooperation among Turkey and Pakistan in various areas, such as the economy, defense, infrastructure, energy, science, and technology. This decision is found welcoming by the diplomats of both the countries. In addition, the decision seemed very bright for the business sectors of both the countries as well.

This decision took place at the 13th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Both the countries readily agreed that terrorism is one of the biggest threats to the world, especially Islamic countries like Pakistan and Turkey. In order to tackle this problem, nations would have to sit together and design collective counterterrorism strategies. In this regard, Turkey seemed to be with Pakistan in good and bad times.

Though there were other nations present at the Summit as well, leaders of Turkey and Pakistan seemed positive and keen towards good ties in future. Turkish prime Minister also assured Pakistan of their support in the matter of Kashmir.

At this positive note, it should not be forgotten that Pakistan needs international support to fight the evil of terrorism from the country. More than European countries, it is the Islamic countries, which need to support Pakistan for the brotherhood and integrity.

Nonetheless, decisions were taken and views shared under such Summits have a huge impact on the businesses and economies of the country. Pakistan is surely going to accept Turkish cooperation to enhance business in all the sectors discussed in this Summit.
