Is Pakistan Diabetic?

The number of people with diabetes is increasing at a very high pace. Unfortunately, this number is at the dangerous level in Pakistan. It is the growing medical risk in the country. According to researchers and experts, it is a growing concern because there are other growing health risks, which are associated with this problem. The rise in aging population and obesity have made people more diabetic than before.

All these health conditions are subject to the lifestyles people in Pakistan live by. Although diabetes can be managed through diet and medications, it can become a serious problem in unusual life conditions. A diabetic person often feels difficulty in blood circulation, due to which cases can take a dangerous turn. There is a life-long risk of kidney failure, stroke, heart attacks and lower limb amputation.

Obesity is the other major reason for more diabetes rate in Pakistan. Men and women are becoming more overweight, which is increasing the risk of diabetes. This factor can be effectively controlled through changing lifestyles. Rather than making people go on strict diets, there should be more exercise and healthy eating habits in lifestyles.

In order to fight diabetes in Pakistan, there should be policies and practices at state levels. If the government is interested in controlling the high diabetes rate in the country, it should make sure that healthy lifestyle is adopted by as many people as possible. Medical experts should also guide people on how they can reduce the risk of diabetes through changing lifestyles.
