Farewell to Shane Watson

Shane Watson played his last ICC World T20 match on Sunday, 27th March against India. Although Australian team lost against Indian team but Shane Watson was given the last tribute for being an iconic cricketer for Australia.

Shane Watson has a glorious cricket career. In 2009, he made 136 runs from 132 balls against England, which made Australia win the match. Similarly, he made 70 runs from just 47 deliveries in a very important match against one of the best cricket teams, South Africa in 2012. Against India, he recently made 124 runs from 71 balls.

Being the best all-rounder for Australia, Watson’s career is based on 14 athletic years. This last match against India made him sentimental since the beginning of this big day. During the practice, he delivered an emotional speech to his fellow mates, who would obviously miss his company both on-site and off-site ground.

34-years old Shane Watson was given the best tribute of his life when he was being applauded by his fellow team men. Watson started his career in a match against South Africa. While taking the decision of his retirement, he lingered onto all these years, which have been passed playing cricket and giving so many memories to the world of sports.

Nevertheless, Watson believes that he is taking the right decision after much thinking. Now is the right time for him to retire. We wish all the best to this awesome cricketer for his later life in good health and memories.
