Golf has finally arrived for the people, especially women of Pakistan. Golf is one of the renowned sports in the world. Pakistan is not so popular in this sport but recently things have started to become better for golf fans of Pakistan. The first ever Pakistan Ladies Amateur Golf Championship has been announced to start from the first week of March. What is more surprising is the fact that eighteen female golf players from the province of Sindh would be featured in this inaugural Pakistan Ladies Amateur Golf Championship.
The entire decision and credit shall be given to the Sindh Golf Association and the avid golfer and president of Frist Women Bank, Tahira Raza. All the Golf players participating from Sindh were briefed about the kind of play to be held in Lahore. This training session took place in Golf Club, Karachi. All these players are very confident and competent as they play golf regularly and have pursued this sports profession both passionately and vocationally.
Farah Waseem, who is the former national tennis champion, is also a part of this golf squad. She has become a part of this huge sports initiative to contribute for the high spirits of competition.
Players participating in this Pakistan Ladies Amateur Golf Championship are Tahira Raza (Captain), Chen Tung Hui (Nida), Zheezal, Anum, Ghazaal Zafar, Fari Sayeed, Bilkis Hasan, Farah Waseem, Ruquiya Habib, Saba Iqbal, Naghmana Atif, Maleaka Majeed, Humera Khalid, Najma Islam, Shahida Ismail, Durdana Soomro, Majeeda Habib and Aania Farooq.
